Carol Ann Roller, born in 1952 in Monterey Park, California, passed away in Yakima, Washington, on February 21, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. In 1967, she moved to Outlook, Washington with her family and later graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1970.
During her school years, Carol was a Princess on the Miss Sunnyside court and also served as the Yakima Valley Dairy Princess.
Carol was known for her strong work ethic, holding the record for the most hours worked at Novolex Shields, where she dedicated 22 years of service. She also worked at Yakima Bait Co. and Alexandria Moulding and spent time delivering bee boards in the Valley and Columbia Basin. Additionally, she enjoyed working as a secret shopper alongside her sister, Rhea Baker-Tait.
A passionate lover of music, Carol cherished attending concerts with her daughter, Leslie, while driving a limo in the 1990's. They also took clogging and line dance classes. Photography was another great passion of hers. She was rarely seen without a camera, capturing countless cherished memories for those around her. Carol had a remarkable ability to make others feel special, always remembering birthdays, anniversaries, and significant moments in the lives of those she loved.
Carol is survived by her children, Alan Jon Sandlin (Donna) and Leslie Reiter (Travis); grandchildren, Aden Sandlin, Dakota Johnson (Mikala Stein), Dane Johnson, and Addison Reitan, great-grandsons, Bentley and Braxtyn, father, Hank Ebbelaar, siblings Judy Wentz (Terry), Ken Hicks (Debbie Stark), Pamela Ebbelaar, Rhea Baker-Tait (Chris Tait), and Henry Ebbelaar, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and coworkers. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ron Roller, dad, Ken Hicks, and mother, Jeannette Ebbelaar; siblings, Ted Ebbelaar and Sherry DeLeo, nieces Kate Wentz and Lacey Baker, and was shortly joined in death by nephew, Frank DeLeo.
Carol will always be remembered for her love of hearts and her signature phrase: "I LOVE YOU MORE."
A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 1:00pm, at Shaw & Sons Funeral Home (201 N. 2nd Street, Yakima, WA). A Potluck Reception followed.
